Active first weekend of summer at the Weinberg

The company organised the team-building tour as a traditional event, during which the participants also visited the World Heritage wine cellars of Hungary.

A leading company in general construction and steel structure manufacturing, Weinberg ’93 Kft. is a committed supporter of sport, active lifestyles and health promotion. The company sponsors the Cigánd SE football team, which was promoted to NB3 on the basis of the results of the qualifiers on the second weekend of June 2023. Weinberg and the Cigánd SE team celebrated this great result together.

This weekend, more than 40 of the company's employees also took part in a team-building session with active recreation. The Weinberg team-building tour started in front of the new office being built at the central site among the vineyards, and then the company headed to the Harsányi Winery.

In addition to sport, Weinberg is also passionate about local gastronomy, and after a small tasting of local cheeses, sausages and salami and a glass of wine at the Dűlőbistro, the group set off on the longest part of the tour, refreshed and full of energy.

The team also tasted wines from the company's own cellar

In the beautiful early summer sunshine, the route led through vineyards and elderberry plantations to Hercegkút, where after visiting the country house, the next stop was the Weinberg cellar on Gombos Hill. This unique wine cellar was inscribed on the World Heritage List in 2002 as part of the Tokaj Hills as a cultural landscape.

After a delicious lunch, the guests had the opportunity to taste the newest addition to the Weinberg cellar, the sparkling wine made for the first time in 2022, and the 2017 6-puttonyos aszú, which won the platinum award at the Decanter World Wine Awards in London with 97 points.

After a short rest, the next stop was the Chapel of the Resurrection on the top of the mountain and the statue of Christ on it, the result of the collaboration of the faithful and the support of Weinberg, among others. Then came the final leg of the tour. The group finally returned to the Weinberg Hall after a nearly 20-kilometre journey.

The company is confident that the successful programme, like many other events, will consolidate the already traditional cohesion and contribute to further strengthening the fabric of Weinberg, proving that the company, which started as a family business at the foot of the Zemplén mountains, but is growing more and more dynamically, is not just a workplace, but a community to belong to, where they can build the future together.
