New road and new industrial hall built in Karcag

Karcag has undergone significant development: infrastructure for an industrial park has been created in the north-eastern part of the town in Nagykunság. According to the public procurement data, Colas Út Zrt was contracted for the public utility and road construction works, and Szilasi és Társa Kft. was contracted for the building construction tasks. As stated in the county government's announcement, the investment was made possible by a non-repayable grant of nearly 865 million forints awarded under the Regional and Local Development Operational Programme.

The foundations for a successful business are in place

A 13.6-hectare inner-city property was developed next to Vágóhíd Street on 2.28 hectares in the first phase. Mayor Tibor Szepesir previously said that the infrastructure will be created for small and medium-sized enterprises, and Imre Hubai, chairman of the county assembly, pointed out that the new industrial area will function as an incubator.

The project included the construction of a 990-square-metre factory hall with social and office facilities, a portal building and parking areas. Solar panels were installed on the roof of the factory building and a heat pump heating system was installed.

In addition, a 6.5 metre wide, two-lane internal site road was built over an area of around 2000 square metres, with concrete pavement and stormwater drainage. In addition to the internal road, the backbone of the drinking water, sewage, electricity, gas and telecommunications networks was constructed with utility outlets.
