A new Reformed primary school for nearly 500 pupils may be built in Biatorbágy
We previously reported that a new Reformed primary school may be built in Biatorbágy. The planning has been completed, and the Dunamelléki Reformed Church District has now published a call for tenders for the construction in the EU public procurement bulletin. The procedure has been announced as conditional.
An educational institution covering more than 5,900 square metres is to be built
According to the plans, a 16-classroom primary school for grades 1–8 would be established, with two classes per grade. The institution would have a total of 16 classrooms, 4 group rooms and 7 specialist classrooms, as well as a gym. The school is expected to enrol up to 480 students.
The total floor area of the building is approximately 5,997 square metres. The gymnasium will have a floor area of 750 square metres, and the project also includes a kitchen with a capacity of 500 meals.
Execution divided into four phases
The contracting authority intends to implement the project in four phases, and accordingly, the public procurement procedure is divided into four separate parts.
Phase 1 involves the structural construction of a school building with a floor area of 3,489.31 square metres. This includes the central heating system, water and sewerage network, ventilation, lift, building electrical systems, fire alarm system, kitchen technology, heat pump, road connection and car park construction, as well as landscaping in front of the building and between the wings. The phase also includes the construction of a temporary tent according to the plans. Optional extras include furniture, teaching aids, unique furniture for the chapel, piper items, an outdoor sports field and the construction of the temporary tent.
During the second phase, a 1,356.65 square metre section of the building containing classrooms would be constructed, including structural work and all specialist trades. The basic contract includes the installation of mechanical and electrical systems, the installation of a fire alarm system, and related landscaping. Optional extras include furniture, teaching aids, stationery and the construction of an outdoor sports field.
Phase 3 involves a 427.61 square metre section of the building, which will house a physiotherapy room and staff accommodation. The basic contract here also covers structural work, specialist trades and all mechanical and electrical installations. The optional scope includes furniture and fittings.
In phase 4, a 723.31 square metre gymnasium will be constructed, including structural work, specialist trades and the installation of the necessary mechanical and electrical systems. The purchase of furniture and sports equipment is an option.
