With the help of a crane, specialists successfully lifted the new wooden structure into place on the northern side of the building, facing Bajcsy-Zsilinszky Endre Street.

The restoration was necessary because it was severely damaged by a storm in 2023. Due to the condition of the structure, seven months after the damage, it was decided to demolish it, but now its successor has been completed.

Temporary traffic restrictions were introduced in the area to ensure the safe lifting of the large component. The police closed the affected section of main road 37 to traffic for the duration of the work.

The aim of the renovation is to restore and rebuild the upper wooden structure of Tower B, as well as to inspect and reinforce the wooden structure of Tower A as necessary. In addition, the entire electrical system will be renovated, modern lighting fixtures will be installed, the lightning protection system will be inspected and renovated, and minor additions will be made to enhance the comfort of the tourist experience.
