The first to arrive for the expansion of the Paks Nuclear Power Plant was a 350-tonne tower crane
Tower cranes to support the construction of the nuclear power plant are being installed, as shown in the video by Paks II Zrt.. The first tower crane has already been erected in the excavation pit for Unit 5, where work on the foundation slab is ongoing.
As the project progresses, the coordinated operation of numerous cranes and other lifting equipment will be required. The lifting equipment will be installed in line with the various phases of construction. The first unit to be completed was a Zoomlion crane with a hook height of 64 metres, a lifting capacity of 40 tonnes and a total weight of 350 tonnes.
