One of the buildings of SZTE undergoes a complex energy renovation

The reconstruction of the SZTE BTK digital training centre located on Petőfi Sándor Avenue became necessary due to the deteriorated technical condition and poor energy characteristics of the property. The aim of the planned modernisation is to ensure energy efficient and safe operation of the building. The investment will also significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase the share of renewable energy in the building's energy use.

According to the information published in the European Public Procurement Bulletin information notice published in the European Public Procurement Bulletin, the work, valued at HUF 537,192,528, may be carried out by Bodrogi Bau Kft. .

The building, with a net useful floor area of 4,281.94 m2, will be retrofitted with façade insulation and a new roof cladding with 25 cm of thermal insulation and new waterproofing. Insulation will also be applied to the arcade slabs.

The development will also

• replace the previous ones with a new three-layer plastic vent,
• a curtain wall structure is installed instead of copolite glass in the staircase, and
• the interior courtyard, south-facing outdoor shading is installed.
• The existing boilers will be replaced with new condensing boilers, which will be connected to the existing radiator network via a heat exchanger.
• A new indirect heating DHW tank will be installed, supplied with heating energy from the new condensing boiler. A new circulation network will be installed to ensure an adequate hot water supply.
• A new VRF heat pump system will be installed to replace the existing mono-split air conditioning units.
• The outdoor unit of the heating/cooling equipment is located on the roof.

They will upgrade the lighting in the building and expand the solar system. The works are estimated to take seven months.
