What will the hospital of the future look like, and how can we renew our inherited healthcare infrastructure? Domestic and international experts will seek answers to these questions at the next Trust Your Architect! event, which will focus on the current challenges of hospital construction and the principles of the 21st-century healing environment.

On 3 March at 7 p.m. in Budapest, at KÉK – Kortárs Építészeti Központ, issues surrounding hospital construction will be discussed. The aim of the professional discussion is for those involved in the entire construction process – clients, designers, contractors and operators – to jointly examine issues relating to the design and development of healthcare institutions.

They seek answers to four main questions

The discussion revolves around four main topics: lessons learned from inherited structures, dilemmas of development models, interventions that can be implemented in the short term, and the principles of a 21st-century healing environment.

International and domestic experts share their thoughts

The round table participants will include international and domestic experts, among others:

  • • Martin Varga – Ottakring Clinic, Vienna
  • • Bálint Rigó – Kinderspital, Zurich
  • • Pál Rutkai – Healing Space, designer specialising in healthcare architecture
  • • Tamás Czesznak – representing the state hospitals of Győr-Moson-Sopron County.

The discussion will be moderated by Zoltán Schrammel DLA, lecturer at the Department of Building Design at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. The free event, which requires registration at registration required, is to bring together designers, contractors and operators to seek answers to questions about the development of healthcare infrastructure.
