What is being built?
The city of Mures starts a major institutional development
Two of the four buildings of the Makó Kindergarten - Kálvin tér and Hold Street - are to be modernised with 586 million HUF of EU funding. The two buildings will have eight and three classrooms respectively, and the project will modernise the electrical network, replace lighting fixtures and modernise the building services systems.
Geothermal energy will be used to heat a kindergarten
As part of the renovation, according to the tender description, the interior cladding will be partially renewed. External thermal insulation and new plaster will be installed on the buildings, and the existing windows and doors will be replaced with more modern ones.
As part of the project, the entrance and toilets will also be made barrier-free.
During the modernisation, one of the buildings will be connected to the geothermal district heating system.
Development toys will also be purchased
The works will also affect the service and social rooms of the two kindergartens. The changing rooms, toilets and kitchenettes will also be renovated. The project will also include the purchase of new equipment: the furniture in the classrooms will be replaced, as well as development toys, musical instruments and equipment for the children's outdoor activities.
The investment is scheduled to be completed by November 2026.
