The aim of the development project, worth more than HUF 6 billion, is to enable schools to operate in a modern, sustainable environment that meets today's educational needs.
The contractor for the Krúdy project is Bodrogi Bau Kft., based in Hódmezővásárhely.
Gastro Center with the latest technologies
The contractor will replace all windows and doors and install external thermal insulation. The heating and electrical systems will be renovated, and a new hall will be built by covering the inner courtyard.
As part of the project, an outdoor Gastro Center will also be built in the schoolyard, further expanding the practical opportunities for students.
Lóránt Perényi, Deputy State Secretary of Építési és Közlekedési Minisztérium, emphasised that the renovation plans are based on respect for Hungarian and European architectural heritage. The state sets an example, and tradition provides guidance, so the renovation of the technical college, building on the intellectual heritage of Károly Koós and Imre Makovecz, achieves a harmonious unity of modernity and tradition.
Director Sándor Elek said that the school has been training reliable professionals for decades, and the renovation serves to enhance comfort, energy efficiency and environmental awareness. He emphasised the importance of modern communal spaces and the creation of Gastro Center, where students can work with the latest technologies and forge even closer professional relationships.
