A call for tenders has been issued for the construction of the gymnasium at the Reformed Lyceum in Gödöllő.

At the start of last year, we reported that the Gödöllő Reformed Lyceum was to be extended with 14 new rooms on behalf of the Dunamellék Reformed Diocese. At that time, work began on the construction of four classrooms and three specialist classrooms, as well as storage rooms, three group rooms, an assembly hall and a canteen, in a new wing of the building, which will be connected to the existing building. The first phase of this large-scale project was awarded to BAUSZER Construction, Trade and Services Kft..

Prefabricated structures are also used

As a follow-up to this, in Gödöllő town centre, on the plot at 9 Szabadság Square, a three-storey (ground floor, first floor and attic) sports hall is to be built a contractor is now being sought. The new building will have a floor area of over 1,000 square metres, whilst its usable area will exceed 1,500 square metres. The successful bidder will have 300 days to complete the works.

The hall is being designed with a durable structure: the foundations will consist of deep-set pile foundations, whilst the walls will be constructed from special lime-sand bricks and precast reinforced concrete elements.

The roof and façade of the building are clad in light grey protective cladding and fitted with thick rock wool thermal insulation, which not only protects the hall from the elements but also ensures excellent acoustic conditions inside the building.

It is being fitted out with bespoke furniture

The athletes’ comfort is ensured by high-quality sports flooring, tiled flooring in the ancillary rooms, and changing room furniture and ball-catch nets designed specifically for the hall. The building’s cooling and heating will be provided by an energy-efficient heat pump system and high-capacity air handling units – the latter will be capable of circulating 6,000 cubic metres of fresh air twice an hour. The building’s entire operation will be controlled by an automated system.
