In a 4.7 billion forint investment, Debreceni Mélyépítő and KE-VÍZ will construct 36,500 cubic metres of earthworks and 44,200 square metres of basalt track structure.

Debreceni Mélyépítő Kft., as consortium leader, and KE-VÍZ 21 Építőipari Zrt. will build the truck parking facility to be developed in the North-West Economic Zone of Debrecen. As previously indicated earlier, the investor, Debreceni Ingatlanfejlesztő Kft. (Ding Kft.), will cover the development from funds won in an EU tender.

It can alleviate logistical traffic on the urban road network.

The project's stated goal is to create a regional, concentrated, economies-of-scale logistics and truck terminal that will serve the BMW car factory and its suppliers, as well as the southern economic zone and the city's smaller industrial parks. One of the main benefits of the truck park could be that its implementation will greatly relieve the city and its road network from the logistical traffic of businesses.

According to the recently published data on TED, 36,500 cubic metres of earthworks will be carried out as part of a net investment of HUF 4.7 billion. A 44,200 square metre track structure with basalt concrete surfacing and a 6,240 square metre track structure with bituminous binder will be built, and 2,200 square metres of paving stones will also be laid.

Complete space lighting, utilities and numerous buildings

The public procurement also covers water management structures, including irrigation water reservoirs, fire water reservoirs and storm drains. At the same time, a new drinking water pipeline (1,950 m) and a new sewage pipeline (1,100 m) will also be built.

The car park will be equipped with a complete lighting network, and several buildings will also be constructed:

  • including two gatehouses,
  • eight sanitary buildings,
  • two cleaning supply rooms,
  • an operational garage building,
  • three dining buildings
  • and four rest buildings will be constructed.
