What is being built?
The regeneration of Haller Park continues with the construction of a state-of-the-art sports ground
Preparations for the comprehensive redevelopment of Haller Park in Ferencváros have been underway since 2018. In the first phase, the western and southern sides of the park were renovated, including the central square and the curved main promenade running through it. These sections have already been rebuilt in line with the new concept.
The local authority’s development programme is now continuing with the modernisation of the sports ground. The aim of the works to be carried out under project Zen4 Park Kft. is to create a community sports ground that is more modern, safer and better integrated into its surroundings. As part of this:
- the entire track will be fitted with a rubber surface,
- The space will be designed to be multifunctional: a football pitch and three basketball courts running perpendicular to it will be built;
- new sports equipment and goals are being installed,
- new benches and litter bins will be installed around the track;
- the ball-catching net system is being replaced,
- 5-metre-high, sound-absorbing fixed hoardings will be installed, together with a further 3-metre-high mesh fence and
- They are installing a modern, solar-powered street lighting system comprising four lampposts.
Deadline for performance of the contract: 31 August 2026.
