As part of the HE-DO project, ten industrial plots with utility connections have been developed alongside Road 5202. The development, costing nearly 393.5 million forints, could help attract new businesses and support the expansion of local firms.

The development of the industrial estate in Bugyi has been completed. The local council has secured a non-repayable grant for the project, which – as we reported in our previous article – was carried out by HE-DO.

Ten industrial plots have been developed

The industrial estate is situated on the outskirts of Bugyi, alongside Road No. 5202 leading towards Dabas. On this 3.36-hectare site, which is owned by the local council, ten industrial plots have been created, each ranging in size from 2,538 to 4,014 square metres. As part of the development, the internal access road network within the industrial estate has been constructed, along with the drinking water, sewage, electricity and fibre-optic networks. A fence running along the plot boundaries has been completed, and an office container has also been installed. Work commencing in the autumn of 2025 included the installation of street lighting within the industrial estate, as well as along a 250-metre section of Road 5202.

New businesses are welcome in the industrial estate

The aim of the investment, carried out under the Regional and Urban Development Operational Programme Plus, is to provide a well-organised environment for industrial activities, separate from residential areas. The local authority expects this new area, equipped with basic infrastructure, to boost the town’s economic competitiveness and create new jobs. The industrial plots provide the conditions for new businesses, including knowledge-intensive enterprises, to establish themselves, whilst also offering development opportunities for businesses already operating in Bugyi that wish to expand.
