Nyírbátor can further consolidate its position at the top of the league in its new futsal hall

The new home of the club, which achieved its best-ever result this year, will be built over the course of nearly two years.

At the end of last season, the Nyírbátor team achieved a historic success in the men’s futsal league: in May, after winning away at defending champions Veszprém, the team secured fifth place in the table, according to its website. For the club, which is preparing for its fifth consecutive season in the top flight, this was its best-ever finish to date. Nyírbátor B-Kerép has now reached another milestone: following the launch of the Debrecen futsal project following the launch of the Debrecen futsal project, has also issued a public tender in this small town in the Nyírség region for the construction of a futsal hall.

According to the details published in the call for tenders, the estimated duration of the construction work will be nearly two years, or 620 days. The future Sárkány Arena will be built near the city centre, on the site bounded by Szabadság Square, Szentvér Street, Édesanyák Road and Báthori Street.

The building, comprising a ground floor and two upper storeys, will have a usable floor area of approximately 3,250 m². The arena section will feature a steel-framed structure, whilst the other sections will be constructed using a reinforced concrete column-and-beam framework, with monolithic reinforced concrete floor slabs and load-bearing and bracing masonry.

The successful contractor will be responsible for installing the external utility services required for the building, as well as carrying out roadworks and landscaping. The works will also include the installation of the building’s comprehensive mechanical and electrical systems.
