As part of the Strabag project, three major streets in Tamási are being renovated, with more than 1 kilometre of road affected.

Contract STRABAG Általános Építő Kft. will carry out Phase III of the project aimed at upgrading roads within the town of Tamási. According to public procurement data, the project, which is being implemented under Contract TOP Plusz, will see a total of 1,207.9 metres of roads in the town of Tolna County upgraded.

Two major transport corridors are set to be upgraded

One of the sub-projects within the three road renovation works involves the refurbishment of a 418-metre stretch of Deák Ferenc Street, which branches off from the 61 main road. Here, the asphalt surface will be renewed across a width of 4.5 metres, with recessed kerbs and a reinforced verge installed on both sides.

Another major transport corridor in the city is Dózsa György Street, which runs parallel to the A65 main road and is being upgraded over a 389-metre stretch. On this street, the asphalt surface is being upgraded to a width of 6 metres, with concrete kerbs on both sides and a 50-50 cm wide kerb strip.

One section will require a complete refurbishment

The third development concerns Üdülő Street, which runs near the Tamási Wildlife Park. Here, the asphalt surface will be resurfaced over a length of 400 metres and a width of 5.5 metres, with 50-centimetre-wide earth verges on both sides. The first 150 metres of the affected section will be completely resurfaced due to its poor condition.

We recently reported on a similar project involving Tamási, also carried out by Strabag: The renovation of the Kecsegei inter-settlement road running through the town’s administrative area was completed well ahead of schedule.
