A section of the 306 main road near Miskolc may be widened to four lanes

Preparatory work for the development of the 306 main road Repülőtéri út section can now begin. According to the plans, the current 2×1-lane section will be widened to 2×2 lanes on the approximately 800-metre stretch between the Sajó Bridge and Dr. Cselényi József Street.

Main Road 306 serves as the north-eastern bypass of Miskolc. Its role is nothing less than to link the M30 motorway with Main Road 26, which runs through the city.

The development could prove significant for both urban transport and industrial and logistics traffic.

They are also planning to rebuild two junctions with traffic lights

As part of the project, two existing traffic-light-controlled junctions will also be upgraded. The plans are to convert these into multi-lane junctions featuring so-called turbo roundabouts.

The scope of the project also includes the preparation of the full set of planning permission and construction drawings for the junctions concerned.

The BIM model is being developed for the project

The winning designer will be responsible not only for preparing the planning and construction drawings, but also for creating the project’s digital building information model.

According to the tender specifications, a BIM model must be produced with a level of detail appropriate to the design and construction phases, to support the design and subsequent construction processes.

As part of the contract, Via Futura Kft. must also prepare a feasibility study and preliminary design documentation, and will be responsible for obtaining the necessary planning permission.
