Nearly 15 thousand square metres of school buildings to be renovated in Kaposvár

As part of a huge project, the Kaposvár SZC Eötvös Loránd Technical College and Boarding School is modernising its building stock with a total usable floor space of 14,845 square metres, according to the public procurement notice published at announcement.

Investment can be made to reduce maintenance costs

The units of the institution on Péter Pázmány Street - the school building, the workshop and the gym - have a total floor area of 7690 square metres. According to the tender, the plinth and the facade of the approximately 4,210 square metre building will be insulated. The windows will be replaced and the steel skylights will be renovated. The roof will also be insulated against heat and water.
The works will also affect the interior: in addition to the installation of new windows and doors, a barrier-free toilet will be created. The floor and walls of the lobby, the corridors, the cafeteria and the second floor classrooms will be renovated and the ceilings will be
renovated.

The workshop and the gym are also adapted to the requirements of the times

The 2100 sqm workshop hall on the first floor will have a new steel-framed slab and four new rooms. The ground floor classrooms and changing rooms and toilets will also be renewed.
The third part of the project is the modernisation of the almost 1,400 m2 gymnasium, where the contractor will not only renovate the service areas, but also the bleachers, the electrical network and the heating system of the building. According to the contract notice, the best bid was submitted by KLITON Kft..

The Virág Street building is also due for a major renovation

The school building on Virág utca and the gym will also be modernised, with a total floor area of 7155 square metres. The facade of the building, which has two basements, basement, ground floor + 5 floors, will be insulated. The windows and doors will also be replaced. The flat roof will be newly waterproofed and insulated over an area of more than 1600 m². The main entrance of the building will be renovated.
In addition to the replacement of the radiators, a new toilet will be built in the interiors. Pillér Invest Építőipari Kft. has been contracted to carry out the works.
