New attractions and state-of-the-art services for the Turkish baths in Törökszentmiklós
A major tourism development is about to begin in Törökszentmiklós: the main building of the beach bath is undergoing a complete renovation and extension. The project will include the renovation of the reception hall, the changing rooms and bathrooms for winter operation, the saunas and the spa rooms. The aim of the renovations is to clearly separate functions, modernise services and make the building accessible.
According to information published on the public procurement authority's website published on the public procurement authority's website, the development, worth nearly half a billion forints net, will be carried out by TÖMB 2002 Kft..
The useful floor area of the building affected by the extension and renovation is approximately 536 square metres. The present investment does not include the overall refurbishment of the existing pools and the outdoor swimming pool and beach area.
Main planned renovation and conversion works:
- energy retrofitting of the building;
- the transformation and expansion of medical functions;
- improving the accessibility of services, accessibility;
- designing changing facilities in a family-friendly and barrier-free way;
- development of a new attraction (water climbing wall), strengthening of catering and service functions.
Energy modernisation and environmental awareness
The renovation will upgrade all structural elements of the building, including thermal insulation, replacement of windows and doors, and upgrading the heating and hot water system to use thermal energy from thermal water. A 50 kWp solar panel system will also be installed to promote environmental awareness.
The building will also be de-asbestosed by removing the old corrugated sheet covering. The renovation of the spa's reception building will include complex accessibility improvements, energy modernisation, functional reorganisation, the creation of guest reception facilities, the renewal of the wet rooms, increasing the level of digitalisation and the construction of family-friendly elements.
Green spaces are also being tidied up
The development affects not only the building but also the environment.
A total of 10 creeping shrubs, 229 perennials and 108 bamboos will be planted, and nearly 300 square metres of new lawn will be created.
After construction, the damaged green areas will be restored, ensuring a bathing-friendly environment.
