Two pools, 536 square metres of water surface – Balaton's capital city can grow with a swimming pool
Applicants are invited to submit proposals for the design and construction of a new swimming pool in Siófok, according to an announcement published in the EU public procurement bulletin here. The investor, Építési és Közlekedési Minisztérium, has launched a conditional procedure. If the necessary funds are secured, the investment can be completed by adapting the TTT3 national swimming pool model design, using the existing draft design and the interim licensed plans.
Two teaching pools will be installed in the hall building
The facility, with a usable floor space of 2,461 square metres, comprises two teaching pools. The smaller pool measures 16 × 8.5 × 0.8 metres and has a water surface area of 136 square metres, while the larger pool measures 25 × 16 × 1.9 metres and has a water surface area of 400 square metres for sports activities. The swimming pool can accommodate 120 people at a time. The pool area can be created in a hall building supported by reinforced concrete pillars, covered by a roof structure consisting of arched wooden beams, with a gable wall at one end and a sloping solution at the other.
Multi-storey main building with service functions
The main building, with a floor plan measuring approximately 49 × 18 metres, can be constructed with a partial basement, a ground floor and, in some places, an upper floor. This is where the women's and men's changing rooms, the sauna and the fitness room would be located. The cash desk, office, staff rooms and cleaning rooms could be located on the ground floor.
The swimming pool's mechanical equipment is hidden in the basement.
The swimming pool technology functions will be installed on the ground floor and in the basement: these include chemical storage rooms, water engineering rooms, electrical rooms and the heating centre. These ensure the continuous and safe operation of the facility.
Complete public utility development will also be implemented
There are no public utility connections on the plot, therefore connecting to the water, sewage, gas and electricity networks, as well as constructing the public utility network, are also part of the investment.
