A new futsal hall is being built on the western outskirts of Debrecen
A 1,590-square-metre, two-nave building is being constructed near the western bypass, which is currently under construction.
Just over a month after DEAC won the women’s futsal championship for the fifth time, futsal could once again take centre stage in Debrecen. The Hungarian Football Association has published a call for tenders for the construction of a municipal futsal hall.
Under the public procurement contract, the hall will be built on a plot of land owned by the University of Debrecen, near the bypass currently under construction which connects Main Road 33 and Main Road 354. The exact boundaries of the site are as follows: it is bounded by Vezér Street, the Domokos Márton Garden, the extension of Rex Ferenc Street, and the Debrecen–Tiszalök railway line (No. 109).
The hall will be a single-storey, two-aisled building with a floor area of 1,590 m²; it will feature, amongst other things, a lightweight roof structure and approximately 1,185 m² of sports parquet flooring.
The successful tenderer will be responsible for carrying out the external utility, road and landscaping works required for the building, as well as for obtaining the final occupation permit.
