This is how the bridge on the M1 motorway between Bicske and Csabdi will become an eight-lane structure
Work on widening and constructing the viaduct on the M1 motorway near Bicske is progressing steadily – according to the latest report from Magyar Koncessziós Infrastruktúra Fejlesztő Zrt. post. As part of the comprehensive investment project aimed at expanding the motorway, this time they reported on the development of the bridge spanning the dirt road between Csabdi and Bicske, accompanied by recent photos.
According to the developer’s report, contractors are already carrying out formwork work on the bridge located approximately 1 km from the Bicske motorway junction (in the direction of Budapest). A total of 72 bridges and flyovers are being rebuilt or reconstructed on the motorway, which is being widened to 2×3 lanes plus an ITS lane over a 78-kilometre stretch.
The post also reveals that new traffic arrangements came into effect in the Bicske area on 15 April. As usual, information about changes to traffic arrangements and road closures is provided in the MKIF information group, which anyone is free to join via this link.
