Road building
From Pincék to the lakeshore: a 2.5-kilometre-long new cycle path is being built in Balatonboglár
The town’s new transport project, the aim of which is to create safe local cycling conditions. The project, with a net value of 110 million forints, will be carried out by the successful tenderer Cibalum Design International Kft., which has a total of six months to complete the works.

The development affects four locations: Gaál Gaszton Street, Wesselényi Street, Török Bálint Street and certain sections of Zrínyi Miklós Street. On Gaál Gaszton Street and Török Bálint Street, cycle lanes will be painted onto the existing road surface. On Wesselényi Street, following a one-metre widening of the carriageway, a new asphalt wearing course will be laid across the entire surface, alongside the marking of a new cycle lane.
The most complex task awaits the contractor on Zrínyi Miklós Street, where the covering of the open trench and the construction of a sewer will enable the creation of a new, two-way cycle lane with paving stones. This will, of course, be complemented by the reconstruction of the affected property access roads.
As part of the project, more than 1,800 square metres of paving will be laid, approximately 734 metres of stormwater drainage will be installed, and, as part of the landscaping of green spaces, 55 trees will be planted in addition to the laying of turf.
