Environmental awareness is not only reflected in the philosophy and operation of Terrán, but also in its products. It is in this spirit that the company has launched its architectural competition again this year, to once again provide an opportunity to showcase reference architecture to both the profession and the general public.

The long-established Terrán considers it extremely important to provide an opportunity to showcase contemporary architectural works of reference value that represent renewable energy solutions and high-quality roof designs. Therefore, this year it has once again announced its architectural competition in the categories of plans and completed residential and public buildings.

Architects can apply under two mottos: "Quality TERRAN roof system in the architectural vision" and "GENERON solar concrete tile, the energy of the future in the present".

Today, both buyers and builders are concerned about the environment, and today's needs can only be met with modern building materials.

The Generon is Terrán's own solution for green energy production, with the unique feature that each tile in the solar roof system functions as a separate solar panel. Thus, in addition to providing a premium aesthetic experience, it also generates energy above our heads.

This year, the competition is again looking for environmentally conscious works that respect the townscape. Projects that demonstrate the architectural and creative potential of the Generon solar roof system and other Terrán products. Forward-looking ideas, high quality architectural and technical solutions due to the nature of the material and energy-efficient building implementation are also important criteria for the judging.

The public competition is open to architects, architects and designers, with plans and buildings completed in the last five years open until 25 October 2023.

Always working together

From the outset, Terrán has considered professional cooperation to be essential, which is why it supports the work of architects and contractors on multiple platforms. This goal is served by the ArchiCAD programme, which includes Terrán AddOn programme, as well as those competitions where professionals can measure their environmentally conscious reference works and present them to interested parties.
