Classic massing, contemporary solutions in the Andrássy Garden building in Csorna

A total of 65 flats are being built in six buildings in the centre of Csorna by Zafitrade Kft.. The complex is in keeping with the single-storey, tiled-roof, understated buildings typical of the neighbourhood, with mansard windows and, in some places, attic walls emphasising the street-front façade. Leier Hungária Kft. showcases the entire range of products.

At the Andrássy Garden, the challenge was to build in a densely built-up part of the city centre with the least possible noise impact on site.

It was also a town planning requirement that the façade of the street frontage building had to be restored to its original state, aided by the modern building materials of Leier.

Modern solutions for fast implementation

Thanks also to the interconnectable Leier products, construction is progressing well, with the contractor already carrying out internal works on the residential buildings, which are powered by a 27kW solar power plant and the apartments are cooled and heated by heat pumps.

During the construction, among other things

• more than 2.200 m in total² Leier Bark wall was used as soundproofing and load-bearing masonry, while the main external walls and internal partition walls of the building Leiertherm made of brick.
• Leier Mesterpanel slabs have been installed in all apartments and above garages. Of this, more than 3.600 m²-was supplied by the manufacturer.
• In all buildings Leier prefabricated stairs were used for the staircases.
• The pillars on the façade are also prefabricated elements.
• The shell of the building Leier Toscana concrete roof tiles, and for the paving of the pavements Leier Taverna and Leier Solido paving stones were used.
• It was also important to ensure that cars were stored in an orderly environment, so 28 garages were built in addition to the paved parking spaces.

A total of 2,600 m² of Leier Toscana Brick Red and Black concrete tiles were installed on four buildings, Gergely Nagy, head of the Leier Kft. concrete tile division, pointed out:

"The strength, impermeability and frost resistance of concrete pots increase as the concrete hardens and thus over time."

Thanks to its raw material, production technology and surface treatment, such tiles are uniform in colour, UV-stable, do not attract lightning and are not damaged by hail. The shell, made of interlocking concrete tiles, is not damaged by extreme weather events or environmental influences.

Key to consistent quality

The combination of advanced concrete mixing, placement and curing technology ensures the quality of concrete roof tiles, such as their compressive strength or dimensional accuracy.

Gergely Nagy emphasized that the modern production technology of Leier guarantees the properties typical of quality concrete, as the concrete roof tiles produced by them do not warp and do not change their volume or weight even in spite of significant temperature or humidity fluctuations. This makes it quick and easy to build a durable, aesthetically pleasing roof, perfectly fitted together," the business unit manager concludes.
