The HUF 200 billion project has already started, with Viköti and Utiber also playing a role.

The Serbian National Football Stadium, located 15 kilometres from the outskirts of Belgrade and five kilometres from Nikola Tesla Airport, is under construction – writes Nemzeti Sport. Citing the Serbian website ekapija.com, the paper reports that the new facility, which will seat 52,000 people, will cost €515 million (approximately £450 million).

In addition to several Serbian companies, two Hungarian companies also played an important role in the construction:

  • Utiber Kft. specialising in civil engineering and transport infrastructure
  • and Viköti Kft., which is responsible for road, highway and railway design and engineering consultancy in addition to water management.

The contract is worth around €14 million (HUF 5.5 billion) and the two companies will be involved in the project until its completion.

The new stadium will be able to accommodate 52 241 spectators at a time, with a car park for 3 000 cars. The changing rooms will be located on the lower level of the west stand, next to a functional space. On the ground floor will be the entrances for VIP guests and others, as well as other catering and technical facilities, while the lower level will be the main entrance with a circular corridor, and the upper level will be completely surrounded by a hall, widening the facility on the east and west sides.
