This is what St Elisabeth Square will look like in the similarly named Pest district

A public procurement procedure will soon be announced to find a contractor for the redevelopment of Szent Erzsébet Square in Pesterzsébet, Budapest – wrote recently, reviewing the district newspaper also titled Pesterzsébet.

The reconstruction of the square is expected to start in 2025, and preparatory work has already begun. During the renovation of the entire square and its surroundings, the municipality plans to plant more than 100 trees, as well as new benches, bicycle stands and a drinking fountain, according to the article.

The local government received 635 million forints in government support for the project.
