Indotek strengthens its presence in Csepel with a sustainable restaurant
The newest restaurant of BURGER KING has opened in the outskirts of Csepel Plaza, owned by Indotek Group. The sustainability-focused restaurant strengthens the district's economy, revitalises the neighbouring public spaces and offers the brand's iconic menu in a modern, sustainable environment.
Central concept, sustainable operation
The restaurant is based on BURGER KING's latest „Pavilion” design concept, which focuses on efficient operation and sustainability in addition to a contemporary look. The 115-square-metre dining area offers 70 indoor seats and a 56-seat terrace. Quick ordering is facilitated by the BURGER KING® app and self-service KIOSKs, while the double drive lane ensures convenient service for those arriving by car.
The restaurant operates entirely on an electric heating and cooling system with heat recovery ventilation. As a result, it helps reduce environmental impact with zero local emissions.
Later on, a green roof and a green wall on the façade will also improve the air quality here, while naturally helping to cool the interior during the summer months.
Green space expanded
During the design process, 15 per cent of the new, intensive green space, varied plant life and automatic irrigation system were incorporated into the new catering facility in the neighbourhood. In addition to the restaurant's guests, it also provides a more pleasant, greener and tidier environment for local residents and passers-by in their everyday lives.
„Our fruitful cooperation with Fusion Zrt. goes back nearly 10 years. This is the third greenfield Indotek Group and BURGER KING cooperation, and nearly a dozen plaza restaurants are already operating in our shopping centres. We are proud that with this 800 million forint investment, we have been able to make a significant contribution to the development of the Csepel district,” summarised Dr. István Hüse, real estate development director at Indotek Group.
