The first blocks of the Epres Liget development are now ready for occupancy, whilst finishing work is underway on the remaining blocks

The finishing touches are being put in place

As we previously reported, by the spring of 2026 all six blocks of flats then under construction had reached the structural completion stage in the detached housing area of the Epreskert district. Over the coming months, the focus will gradually shift to interior and exterior finishing works.

According to Balázs Oláh, the general project manager, the façade windows and doors have been fitted, the roof insulation has been completed, and the basic mechanical and electrical installations have been finalised. Work has now begun on laying the floor layers, finishing the interior walls, installing the cold and warm cladding, and fitting the interior doors and windows.

These work processes are currently taking place in parallel in buildings at various stages of completion, in line with the technical progress of each building.

Two buildings are already at the final stages of construction

The project manager pointed out that, of the six buildings still under construction, finishing work is already underway in two of them, whilst the focus in the other four remains on the structural work.

The key tasks for the coming months include completing the surface finishes and façade work, the full installation of interior doors and windows, and commencing work on the car park levels.

Prefabricated sanitary units sped up the construction work

One of the project’s notable technical solutions is the prefabricated bathroom and sanitary facilities.

Thanks to this technology, the complete prefabricated sanitary units could be installed during the structural works, which significantly reduced the time required for subsequent specialist works. During on-site construction, practically the only work remaining was to connect the mechanical and electrical backbone systems.

For each block, the contractor also carries out on-site pressure and flow tests so that any faults that may arise can be rectified before handover.

The surroundings of the first buildings have now been completed

It is not only the buildings but also the surroundings of the residential estate that are constantly taking shape. Road links have been completed in the vicinity of the homes that have been handed over, and landscaping and tree planting have also been carried out.

In the case of the six buildings currently under construction, the landscaping and grounds work is expected to be completed in the autumn, meaning that the entire surroundings of the residential complex will gradually take on their final appearance.
