KÉSZ Csoport has started work on a three-stroke project covering 17,000 square metres. 99% of the demolished materials will be recycled.

Budapest Airport has begun the renovation of the first row of taxiway G serving air traffic around Terminal 1, according to a statement from the company operating the capital's airport. The works are necessary because the existing paved surfaces and utility systems have reached the end of their design life and need to be renovated.

The project, which will be completed in three phases by summer 2026, will include the construction of around 17,000 square metres of new basalt concrete pavement and substructures, storm drains and culverts, as well as the renewal of the visual navigation system, street lighting and lighting system.

During the construction process, Budapest Airport pays special attention to sustainability: nearly 99% of the demolished materials are recycled after obtaining the necessary certifications, thus significantly reducing carbon emissions from transport.
