Heavy goods traffic is causing damage to the road here, which the TISZA-ÚT Kft. can repair.

Farkasnyári Street is a very old north-western arterial road in the town of Újfehértó, leading to the extensive northern agricultural lands on the outskirts of the town. Along this street, which was already an important transport artery for the town as far back as the 18th century, significant commercial premises still operate today. Although Farkasnyári Street appears to be an average residential area in terms of size, it therefore handles a very high volume of freight traffic, which leads to rapid wear and tear on the road surface.

For this reason, the local council of Újfehértó has decided to renovate the entire inner-town section of the street, which is over 2 kilometres long. The contractor awarded the contract, TISZA-ÚT Kft., will be responsible for carrying out, at a cost of approximately 139 million forints, the demolition and milling of the existing, worn-out road surface, the repair of the road base, the laying of new load-bearing asphalt layers, and the associated kerb works.

Following the milling of the top layer of asphalt, which is on average 3 cm thick, the contractor must lay a new 5 cm-thick asphalt wearing course; during the works, the contractor is responsible for drawing up temporary traffic management plans for the duration of the construction works, conducting consultations with the road authority and implementing the temporary traffic management scheme.
