Children's creativity for corporate cohesion

Children don't draw what they know, but rather what they feel - so this year, the Szabadics Zrt. office building in Nagykanizsa was filled with children's joy, where the prizes of the drawing competition for employees' children were awarded at a ceremony on 8 December.

Gives you confidence

Drawing is one of the best developmental activities for children, as it has many proven positive effects on development: it develops children's concentration, observation skills, and later on their writing and reading comprehension. Moreover, learning different techniques gives them a great sense of achievement and self-confidence. Painting and drawing help to build open-mindedness, develop children's creativity, help them to learn and master different ways of expressing themselves, and also help them to process experiences and release tension.

The company has launched a drawing competition for the children of employees, with entries open to pre-school, primary and secondary school age groups. This year's theme was "Come on, Santa Claus", for which 38 children entered.

The Szabadics Group was moved by the call for entries, which attracted entries not only from the children of our colleagues in Hungary, but also from our Croatian site.

A truly family-friendly workplace

Entries, drawn or painted in crayon, pencil or crayon, were judged anonymously by six company employees of different ages and genders. Three to three winners were announced in each category, and a special audience prize was awarded to the work with the most likes in a vote on Szabadics Zrt.'s Facebook page.

On 8 December, all the applicants were welcomed at the Szabadics Zrt. headquarters in Nagykanizsa for an award ceremony, where no one left empty-handed, as each applicant received a certificate and a small gift. The awards were presented by Szabadics Roland, Chief Operating Officer.

For Szabadics, maintaining a family atmosphere is of paramount importance, which is how the company's history began: as a family business 34 years ago. From a few employees in Zala County, the company has grown into a multi-billion turnover enterprise with nearly 250 employees, operating both at home and abroad, but they still prioritise the preservation of their core values: their drawing competition is also an important tool to maintain and even strengthen this family-friendly and homely atmosphere.

The winners

38 children submitted drawings, of which ten were awarded prizes. 2023 gift vouchers, a Santa Claus package and McDonald's vouchers were awarded to the children.
