The Lindab continues to operate in Hungary with a focus on ventilation
Lindab has signed an agreement to sell its profile products business in Hungary. The strategic focus of the Lindab Group is Air Treatment, and the transaction aims to enable the company to respond more effectively to international market needs, while at the same time supporting the long-term success of the group and its partners, according to a statement from the company.
The Hungarian profile products business of Lindab - such as roofs, wall panels and gutter systems - employs around 60 people and has an annual turnover of approximately HUF 4.7 billion. The activity includes production, warehousing and sales.
The company's air technology business takes an active role in the greening of the construction industry
Lindab Kft.'s Air Treatment business is not part of the divestment and will continue to operate in the Hungarian market as part of the Lindab Group. As a member of the Central European region, it remains committed to contributing to the development of the Hungarian market with its innovative, high quality and sustainable ventilation solutions. Sustainability is at the heart of the company's strategy and its aim is to be an active player in the transition to a greener building industry.
Focus on the air technology business in Hungary
"This sale is an important step in the reorganisation of the Profil business in Eastern Europe and gives us the opportunity to focus on the air technology business in Hungary," said Ola Ringdahl, CEO of Lindab.
The Profil business is acquired by a Hungarian company, a subsidiary of ROVA-SK a.s. The owners also acquired the Slovakian subsidiary of Lindab in February 2025. The Hungarian company will continue to operate as a distributor of a number of Lindab profile products.
"We look forward to taking over and developing the business and are pleased to continue our presence in the Hungarian market, now as a strategic partner of the Lindab Group."
- said Slavomír Janík, Managing Director of ROVA-SK.
The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of this year and the changes will contribute to the long-term success of both the air technology and profile businesses. Thereafter, Lindab Kft. will continue to operate in Hungary with an aerospace focus.
