Building faster, more accurately and more energy-efficiently is no longer just an option, but an expectation. The lightweight construction technology represented by Imperial Holding from Danish Fabrik provides a modern solution to this: built on Scandinavian foundations and complemented by experience in the Hungarian market, it offers a genuine alternative to traditional construction methods.

The market for lightweight-frame houses has seen spectacular growth in Hungary in recent years. One of the greatest advantages of the Danish Fabrik system, which plays a prominent role in the Imperial Holding portfolio, is its excellent net-to-gross ratio.

Even with wall thicknesses as low as 32 cm, outstanding thermal insulation performance can be achieved, allowing for the creation of more usable living space within the same floor area. The complex insulation system used in the walls, façade, and roof and floor structures ensures an AA++ energy rating.

Manufacturing takes place entirely under factory conditions, with millimetre precision, which virtually eliminates manufacturing defects. At the same time, the company also offers flexible solutions that allow for on-site installation under special circumstances, whilst maintaining the same high standard of quality. Combined with a prefabricated corrugated sheet roof structure, the system further enhances safety and reduces costs.

Fast turnaround, predictable costs

One of the key elements of the technology used by the company is screw pile foundations, which significantly shortens the construction process. This innovative solution is not only faster but also more cost-effective than traditional foundation methods, whilst having a minimal environmental impact.

As a result, a detached house can be ready to move into in as little as four months, typically from as little as 580,000 HUF per square metre.

According to Imperial Holding, the Danish Fabrik system is currently one of the best value-for-money solutions on the market – offering a level of technical sophistication that, in many cases, makes it pointless to consider other technologies. The system is primarily recommended in conjunction with air-to-air heat pump solutions, which further enhance energy efficiency.

Decades of experience, international background

The professional background of Imperial Holding spans several decades in the field of lightweight construction. The founder of the group has been an active player in domestic developments since the 1980s, participating in the design and construction of Erdért standardised houses, and built a house of his own design as early as 1982.

Danish Fabrik technology was first introduced in Denmark and Norway over a decade ago, where the company gained direct practical experience. The system was launched in Hungary in 2018 with the company’s involvement, and has undergone continuous development ever since – particularly in terms of layer configurations and energy-efficient solutions.

Production currently takes place with the involvement of several domestic partners and under the licence of the Building Quality Inspection Institute, whilst Imperial Holding is also planning to establish its own manufacturing capacity. All this clearly demonstrates that Danish Fabrik is not merely a technology, but a carefully constructed, long-term building system backed by a stable professional and commercial foundation.
