Innovation on the roof: prefabricated structure rewrites the rules

The prefabricated structure has many advantages over the traditional method. The secret lies in the computer-aided design and the precision machining of raw materials provided by CNC machines and laser cutting tools. By combining various achievements, such as the integration of CAD/CAM systems, the entire preparation and manufacturing process is automated and optimised, allowing the most complex designs and models to be created and modified. Thanks to this process, each element is cut to the millimetre, of uniform quality, free of defects and with all the pins prepared, significantly increasing the stability of the structures.

As the elements are delivered ready-made to the installation site, all that is required during installation is to assemble and secure them according to plan. As a result, the living environment remains clean, no extra space is required, which can be difficult in certain areas, and the work is quiet and requires few specialists.

The special technology allows the exact amount of material to be determined, less waste is generated, which means that energy losses can be minimised and the environmental impact is therefore much lower in many respects. This is particularly important because over the last 10 years, the EU has seen an upward trend in wood harvesting: for example, according to Eurostat data, 488 million cubic metres of roundwood were harvested in 2020, a decrease of 2% compared to the previous year, but still 21% higher than the figure recorded in 2000.
