From the heating plant to the library – solar panels are to be installed on eight local authority buildings in Kiskunfélegyháza

The tender for the development of solar panel systems tender in Kiskunfélegyháza, and the experts from PJP Napelem Kft., Best-Solar Kft. and SOLAR WELT Kft. were commissioned to install domestic-scale micro-power plants on municipal buildings.
According to the results notice published in the Public Procurement Bulletin, the systems will operate on eight buildings with a total connected load of 152.1 kVA. European Union funding is being used for the project under the TOP Plusz programme.

The largest system will be installed at the heating plant

PJP Napelem Kft. has been awarded contracts at three sites, the largest of which involves the installation of a solar panel system at the heating plant at 1/A Darvas Square. A system with a connection capacity of 48.9 kVA will be installed on the building, with mounting structures fitted to accommodate both the bitumen shingle and flat roof surfaces. The same contractor is carrying out the development of the two changing room buildings at 54 Jókai Street. A system with a connection capacity of 6 kVA will be installed on the cubicle changing room, and one with a capacity of 4.5 kVA on the other changing room.
The third site is the library building at 9 Szent János Square, where a 22 kVA system will be installed. Here, the mounting structures for the solar panels must be adapted to both the tiled roof and the corrugated metal roofing.

Solar panels are also being installed at the health centre

Experts from SOLAR WELT Kft. will be working at the health centre. Best-Solar Kft. has been awarded contracts for work at two sites, one of which is the funeral parlour building. Two buildings at 16 Nádasdy Street will be fitted with solar panels. At the latter site, the contract also covers the installation of a lightning protection system for the office building, comprising a lightning arrestor, down conductor and earthing system, as well as surge protection.

Comprehensive development is taking place at all sites

In addition to installing the solar panels and their mounting structures, the contractors are also responsible for installing the inverters, the electrical cabling and the distribution equipment. The technical specifications for all sites include DC-side fire protection switches, as well as mains and residual current protection devices.
The project thus creates the conditions for local solar energy generation on municipal buildings of various purposes and roof designs, and paves the way for more cost-effective operation.
