Successful test load on the railway bridges in the Bakony region

The renovation of the Gyulafirátót viaducts has reached another and final major milestone – reported on its Facebook page the other day MÁV. Static and dynamic load tests were carried out on the newly erected bridge structures over Gyökeres and Répás-árok using an M44 locomotive. According to reports, during the instrumental measurements, the railway company's experts found that the deformations measured on the structure's elements and the resulting stress levels were within acceptable limits.

The project was launched at the end of May this year to repair damage caused by several previous accidents affecting the line, as reported by veol.hu reported.

Following the trial workloads, the technicians moved on to the final stage of the renovation with the two hives and the finishing work on the surrounding railway track.

From 10 October, trains will be able to run again on the whole line between Veszprém and Győr, on line MÁV 11, as previously forecast.
