When will passengers be able to use the three new lifts at the Tatabánya railway station?
The MÁV will install three new lifts at the Tatabánya railway station, which will enable barrier-free transport, the railway company shared the news and pictures of the current status of the project on its social media page.
New air-conditioned lifts to the platform and car park
Two of the three lifts will provide access from the pedestrian overpass to the platforms and one to the P+R car park. The installation of the lifts and the surrounding infrastructure is currently underway. The modern, aesthetic and air-conditioned lifts will not only make the station easier to use, but will also improve the quality of service.
The flyover will be renewed and a camera system will be built
To improve safety, MÁV will install a camera system on both platforms and flyovers, which are now complete. In addition, visual and audible passenger information systems will be installed to assist traffic and the pedestrian overpass will be made more comfortable with new glass and new flooring.
The public will be able to use the lifts and the renewed pedestrian crossing at Tatabánya railway station next spring at the latest.
