The railway station in Pest County has a new car park

The modern P+R car park and covered B+R storage facility at the Nagykőrös railway station has been completed. The new facility makes one of the town's busiest public institutions easier to use, at a cost of 400 million forints.

In Nagykőrös, the railway station car park was renovated with 400 million forints in state funding and the cooperation of MÁV, as announced at the handover ceremony on Monday. Next to the railway station in the town located on the border of Pest and Bács-Kiskun counties, the previously unorganised cobblestone car park was replaced by an asphalt-covered P+R car park and B+R bicycle storage facility, in which

56 new parking spaces were created, including two disabled parking spaces. In addition, a covered bicycle storage facility with 70 spaces was built, where seven security cameras ensure that those arriving on two wheels can leave their vehicles in safety. The car park was built with 600 square metres of new green space, 12 deciduous trees and 500 shrubs.

The city's most important gateway has been developed

László Földi, Member of Parliament for the region, said that the railway station is the most important gateway to the city, and therefore it matters what first-time visitors to the city experience about the town. He added that visitors will now see a wonderful location with a modern car park that reflects the life of the city and the attitude of its residents towards the environment.
