More than a hundred trucks have a new home near Esztergom

Botlik Trans Kft., which transports more than a hundred trucks, has built a technical testing centre, a repair base and a truck wash in Tatra with an investment of almost HUF 600 million, the company said on 20 March.

The development will include the establishment of a type-independent test centre, approved by the National Transport Authority, where technical testing, servicing and environmental inspection of the fleet of vehicles of transport companies can be carried out.

The investment was funded by the EU's economic development and innovation programme (GINOP) with HUF 329 million.

Nearly four decades to reach its current size

The Botlik family business started with a single tipper truck in 1986, and after the turn of the millennium, international transport became the company's main profile. Today, the company's fleet consists of more than 100 vehicles, ranging from 3.5-tonne vans to semi-trailers.

They carry 23,000 freight vehicles a year, covering an average of 150-160,000 kilometres from Portugal to Scandinavia.

Botlik-Trans Ltd has grown into one of the region's leading providers of integrated logistics solutions over the past decades. Besides transport, they operate warehouses in Budapest, Dorog, Esztergom, Tát and Nyergesújfalu. The company employs 170 people and in 2021 its net turnover was HUF 5 billion, reaching HUF 7.3 billion in 2022.
