What is being built?
The new kindergarten in the Buda agglomeration has a bush fence
From next autumn, a new kindergarten will be waiting for the children of Budaörs, the establishment of the institution will be implemented with 1.6 billion, mixed financing - said the Építési és Közlekedési Minisztérium (ÉKM) Deputy State Secretary for Civil Engineering on Wednesday in the Pest county town.
<Zoltán Nyul at the ceremony of the new 6 classroom building of the Farkasréti Pagony Kindergarten (which marks the highest point of the building and its structural completion - ed.) said that the kindergarten is being built with exemplary cooperation, and that the financing of the project is mixed: there is a "leg" of HUF 800 million from TOP Plusz funds, and the municipality will provide the additional funds needed to complete the project from its own budget. The event was also attended by, among others, Mayor Tamás Wittinghof and Municipal Councillor Gergely Czuczor.
Construction after demolition
The project is being implemented by LATEREX Építő Zrt. , as announced on the nursery school's website here. It also reveals that the nursery school was temporarily relocated during the works, as the construction project also involved the demolition of the existing, outdated nursery school building and the residential building at 54 Farkasréti Road.
The new state-of-the-art kindergarten will be built on their site, with a floor area of 1381 m². This new building will have two storeys, with a half-storey offset to match the topography.
Sustainability is also an important consideration. The building is heated and cooled by an air-source heat pump and ventilated by a heat recovery mechanical system. A green roof and solar panels will also be installed.
Construction is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2026.
