The newest pride of Pilisvörösvár was inaugurated - the town's tanusoda is ready

In Pilisvörösvár, the 39th swimming pool completed as part of the Swimming Nation Programme was handed over on 10 October. The facility is 1,312 square metres in size, with two pools and a 435-square-metre stretched water surface; and the net value of the project was approximately 1.3 billion forints. As previously written, the project was carried out by Kova-Line Kft..

A range of athletes will start from here

At the inauguration ceremony, Tamás Menczer, Member of Parliament, recalled that the people of Pilisvörösvár needed the swimming pool, "we have fulfilled our commitment, the swimming pool has been built". He added that perhaps Pilisvörösvár will be the starting point for one or other of the next champions, swimmers and water polo players: the next Wladár or Darnyi, Madaras or Manhercz.

Ádám Schmidt, Minister of State for Sport at the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said that swimming pools are suitable for both community and competitive sports, and therefore the government has a responsibility to ensure that as many as possible are built.

He said that 57 more similar classrooms will be built in the future.
