The ALTEO project continues to make progress with energy storage investments aimed at balancing the volatility of renewable energy generation. A new 20 MWh storage facility has been commissioned in Győr.
The project is also unique in that it combines state-of-the-art technology – including a gas turbine suitable for green hydrogen combustion, a steam turbine and a heat recovery boiler – in a single system.
The new E.ON Hungária Csoport substation in Várpalota, built on an area of around 20,000 square metres and with an investment of €4 billion, can be operated without operators.
A series of projects worth HUF 115 billion will also be completed, new substations will be built, and the Transdanubian region and Pest county will benefit.
