Lindab solutions helped to ensure good interior comfort in a children's cinema in a shopping centre

In view of the high attendance figures, Futureal has built a new children's cinema this year. The second KIDS cinema opened its doors to the youngest cinema fans just a few weeks ago. It has been designed to meet their needs so that they can enjoy films in a suitable environment.One of the special features of the project was the installation of the theatre's ventilation system, which was designed by the experts at Körös-Consult Zrt. under the leadership of Tibor Gáspár. The comfortable indoor climate and fresh air in the room are supported by the solutions of Lindab solutions, which were installed in the cinema by KK-industry Kft..

Quiet, efficient and design-integrated ventilation solutions

Both the designers and the builders had to take into account and coordinate a number of aspects in the design of the cinemas. These included ensuring that the enclosed space was supplied with the right quantity and quality of air and that the operation of the air handling equipment did not interfere with the viewers' ability to enjoy the visuals and sound of the projection to the full.

A key consideration was that the visible elements of the ventilation system should blend in with the interior of the cinema. The Lindab products are perfectly suited to the design of cinema theatres, and have also been installed in some of the retail outlets and public areas of Etele Plaza, in line with the visual elements of the shopping centre.

Lindab blower practical for high ceilings in interiors

In all the cinema rooms of the ETELE Cinema, including the new children's room, an RCW rotary blower was chosen to support both the ventilation and heating of the high ceiling rooms, ensuring quality ventilation of the room. The adjustable blades allow the direction of the air blown to be changed from horizontal to vertical, both manually and by control.

In the cinema room, both solutions were used: a manually adjustable 315 mm diameter fan at the edge of the guest area, while in the cinema room the latter, i.e. an automated type, helps to maintain the optimum temperature and volume of air in the room.

To match the style of the ETELE Cinema's nursery, the designers have chosen black coloured inserts. These air handling units are made of high quality galvanised steel, and their durability is guaranteed not only by the material but also by the double surface protection of the front panels.

Air-tight solutions

The ventilation system for the entertainment area also includes the premium JSM air tightness control shutter. The Lindab JSM regulates the air volume in the ductwork, closing the air path when necessary, and sectioning the system, often used for its high quality and functionality. The regulator is a popular product because the rubber-closed lamella profiles provide air tightness, which is a key factor in efficiency and economy of operation.

Acoustic expert also helped with the design

Air handling systems, especially in applications such as cinema auditoriums, are expected to be quiet and unobtrusive. Attenuation of noise generated during system operation is used for air intake and exhaust.

Acoustics is a key area of development for the Lindab. The results of research and development carried out in our own laboratory are excellent products. In the case of the ETELE Cinema, an acoustics expert also helped to create the perfect sound.
