Hungarian door manufacturing takes a big step forward with the construction of a new plant in Pécel
Nívó Csoport, a manufacturer of security entrance doors, is building a new plant in Pécel worth five billion forints. The news was announced by Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, in Nagytarcsa, neighbouring Pécel, at the headquarters of the Hungarian-owned company.
The five billion forint investment will see a 15,000 square metre modern production hall built in Pécel. The development is based on automated production technologies and will enable a significant increase in capacity.
The project also includes a solar power investment, which will contribute to the sustainable operation of the site, according to István Joó, government commissioner and CEO of the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA), on his Facebook page.
According to its website, this Hungarian family business manufactures, distributes and installs security entrance doors, gate systems and maintenance-free metal fences. The company was founded in 1989 by master locksmith László Kiss, building on his 25 years of professional experience. The company now has showrooms in Nyíregyháza, Győr, Miskolc, Budapest, Kecskemét, Siófok and Kolozsvár, among other locations. In addition, their product range has been expanded to include new products such as flower boxes, planters and raised beds, as well as aluminium windows and doors.
In his speech, Péter Szijjártó explained that, as a result of the project, approximately half of the door imports to Hungary can now be replaced by domestic production, which is very important because it is crucial that „we import as little as possible, produce as much as possible at home, and then export as much as possible”.
He pointed out that the investment has significance beyond itself, as the company is involved in training future professionals, and the construction of the factory could also give a significant boost to the metal industry, which employs 110,000 people and has an annual production value of 3,500 billion forints.
