Foundation stone laid in Mátészalka, new crèche to be built

The foundation stone of the new day nursery of the Roman Catholic Church, to be built with more than 603 million HUF, was laid in a ceremony in Rákóczi útca, Mátészalka. The new 42-seat institution will belong to the Diocese of Debrecen-Nyíregyháza and will be part of the existing Széchenyi István Catholic Primary School and Kindergarten.

The building will be designed with climate-conscious solutions and will also create 9 jobs in the town in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county.

Attila Fülöp, State Secretary at the Ministry of the Interior, stressed the importance of ensuring that every child a family could wish for is born. For the government, family policy is not just one issue among many, but must be the most important issue, he said. His words showed that the government does not intend to lose sight of the importance of the family and family policy.
