The first building of the National Mint Park is completed

On 29 September, the first building of the ÉMI National Sample House Park and Visitor Centre, an exhibition and event hall for a complex sector information centre, was inaugurated, next to the houses built for the Solar Decathlon Europe competition in Szentendre.

ÉMI Nonprofit Kft., 60 years old this year, held a sectoral forum and inaugurated the first building of the National Mint Park and Visitor Centre in Szentendre. The information centre was opened by Márton Nagy, Minister of Economic Development, Eszter Vitályos, Member of Parliament of the region, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Culture and Innovation and Adrienn Buday-Malik, CEO of ÉMI.

Showcasing the homes of the future

The new exhibition and event hall of the National Model House Park and Visitor Centre, covering nearly 1,100 m², can host various sectoral events (exhibitions, professional conferences, events or educational projects). The information complex, which also includes the hall, will welcome residents and professional visitors interested in sustainable and affordable construction on an area of more than 25,000 m². In the first phase, 12 new model houses will be built on approximately 7,500 m² of the site in 2019. Solar Decathlon Europe house-building competition. In addition to the exhibition and event hall and the life-size model houses, the complex will also feature a mini „energy city” where visitors can learn about available renewable energy sources and how they can be integrated into their homes.

Green switchover

According to Adrienn Buday-Malik, CEO of ÉMI, the most important task of ÉMI has been to serve the cause of quality construction for 60 years. The Company has undertaken to support the development and green transition of the construction sector, the preservation and sustainability of the built heritage in all situations. The Visitor Centre, which is expected to open in summer 2024, will provide a platform for this, with the main aim of providing information, knowledge and networking opportunities for the entire sector. In his speech, the CEO of ÉMI encouraged the key players in the sector present to be part of the Park, as "we think of our own development and growth as a community and not an end in itself".
