A five-lane slide park is built in Harkány

The Municipality of Harkány decided on Thursday to accept the lowest bid from among the bids received for the public tender for the construction of a slide park. This will allow the development to begin, with the new launch pad planned to be the highest point in the town.

Improvements to the more than 200-year-old spa: waterfall, slide park, shade shelters

The Harkány Spa and Thermal Baths celebrated its 200th anniversary in 2023. The 13.5-hectare spa offers more than 7,500 m² of water. In 2022, the spa was expanded with the Harka Water World. In 2024, in addition to the construction of the slide park, further developments will take place at the spa. The construction of a solar power plant in the facility has started with the help of subsidies. In addition, the installation of new changing rooms is planned for this year, as well as the repair of defects in the spa pool's tiling and the reconstruction of its shading.

Nearly half a million visitors to the Harkány Spa last year

According to the Mayor's Office, the Harkány Spa closed the year 2023 with nearly half a million visitors thanks to the year-end guest numbers. During the winter season, indoor activities are offered to those who want to relax and recover, with the spa and health spa section offering almost 2,100 square metres of space. The 34-38 degrees Celsius thermal water can help prevent and cure musculoskeletal and joint diseases, osteoporosis, chronic gynaecological inflammations and lymphatic circulation disorders.

Guests are welcome in winter too

The Harka Water World is open in winter too, with 766 m² of water for young people and families, 3 water slides, an adventure pool, a water flume and a diving pool. In the Sauna World, in addition to saunas, you can relax in the whirlpools, the tepidarium and the Kneipp pools.
