Váci Vocational Training Centre gets a new building

A new block of 3,500 square metres will be built.

A large-scale investment will begin in the Vocational Training Centre (VSZC) in Vác, with a modern, 3,500 square metre, multi-functional building being built with HUF 5.9 billion, it was announced on Friday in the Pest county town. The new block will be built on the property of the centre's Király Endre Technical and Vocational School in Vác.

The new central workshop in the building will be used in the next few years to train not only the classic industries but also the workforce needed for new industries such as electric car production, said Bence Rétvári, Parliamentary State Secretary of the Ministry of Interior and Member of Parliament for the region. He added:

The VSZC already has a long tradition of training car mechanics, but the new workshop will give it the opportunity to become a top institution in the field of alternative vehicles. It will also be able to provide high quality training in areas such as law enforcement and tourism.

 

Vác is being developed as part of a national development series

Gáborné Pölöskei, Deputy State Secretary for Vocational Training at the Ministry of Culture and Innovation (KIM), said: 2024 will be a year of infrastructural development for vocational training, with 32 institutions at 34 locations undergoing renovation, which will also involve 21st-century developments in institutions, training workshops and equipment. The "Complex development of the Vocational Training Centre in Vác" project will be implemented between 2023 and 2026, and will not only include the delivery of a new building, but also the provision of modern IT equipment for the schools of the centre.
