Disaster Management Institute to be built at the National University of Public Service

The National University of Public Service is having a Special Disaster Management Centre and a Disaster Management Institute built, as revealed in the EU public procurement notice notice. The main contractor for the 33 billion forint project is ZÁÉV Construction Zrt.

Fire safety lab and psychic trainer also help train professionals

The company's task within the framework of the project is to construct a seven-storey building complex with a floor area of almost 25,000 square metres, which will be suitable for the educational and administrative functions of the Institute of Disaster Management (DI) and the National Security Institute (NSI). It would also house the KVI dormitory, a fire brigade training station and the Orczy Garden operations department.

The building complex will consist of two main parts: the Auditorium, which will house lecturers and classrooms, and the main building of the Institute for Disaster Management. The latter will be divided into three wings. The new facilities will also include a psychological training room and a fire laboratory.
Along the southern façade of the complex, there will be stepped green areas, terraces, an ornamental garden and a rose garden.
