Five-star superior hotel opened in the immediate vicinity of the Buda Danube

Budapest's newest luxury hotel, the five-star superior Kimpton BEM Budapest Hotel, opened amid great anticipation, according to a statement released by the developer Market Építő Zrt. at the end of July Facebook post at the end of July. The IHG Hotels & Resorts is the first unit from Kimpton's luxury and lifestyle portfolio to debut on the Hungarian market.

The boutique hotel has 127 rooms, with a design that partly reflects the nearby Danube riverfront. The presidential suites on the 5th floor include a private roof garden of 82 square metres.

The work of a star architect

The interior design concept was created by the internationally-renowned Marcel Wanders Studio: with their bold use of form, materials and colour, they created unique interiors. The project is the last work of the Dutch studio, which has since ceased its activities (the artist is still active and creating in other contexts).

The building complex combines classical and contemporary features, and throughout the hotel you can see typical Hungarian motifs such as poppies, tulips or the rebel miracle deer
